Summer Sunset In The City

Friends, I still can't believe that we are in November already. This year has gone by so quickly and suddenly it's only 8 more weeks until 2015! Furthermore, the idea of winter has been creeping up behind us and the crisp breeze that has been sweeping the North is a bitter reminder that snow is on its way. Joy? As I feel the chill in the air I can't help but reminisce on summer and all of the wonderful things that it brought to me this year (more on that later. I promise its sweet <3)

This year, along with my friend and fellow planner, Meena from 5th Avenue Events, we decided to celebrate (lament?) the end of summer with a fun cocktail party! To make it even more exciting, we decided to invite a group of people that we did not know, so we could have a chance to reach out to different people in the industry that we had not had a chance to meet face to face. Neat right?

Our event was held in the beautiful studio space of Nuage Designs here in NYC and along with some beautiful industry friends, our evening was a true success.

All pictures are courtesy of our insanely talented friends Scott and Cara with Carasco Photography (they literally flew from Chicago to capture the event!).  What an honor! Enjoy everyone and keep dreaming of beautiful summer sunsets.

Ivie Joy Flowers created the most spectacular arrangements that could not have complimented the linen we selected from Nuage Designs better. With a nod to the end of summer and the beginning of fall, the colors and feel of the floral designs, tied the mood of the affair together seamlessly.

This stunning cake created by Amy from Sugar Flower Cake Shop, matched perfectly with our Summer Sunset theme! And to our delight, Amy graciously created some delicious cupcakes for our guests that were absolutely divine... as always!

With musical accompaniment from the insanely talented Elan Artists. What an incredible treat!

Some of my favorite pictures of evening were the ones which showed everyone enjoying the event. And of course, our fabulous photographers, Scott and Cara, you both are wonderful, sweet and kind. Your talent is immeasurable. Thank you for capturing such a special event for us. We are truly grateful!
