Metropolitan Building Wedding with Ayenia Nour
This wedding has a special place in my heart for dozens of reasons. It has taken a while to write because I really wanted to do it justice and say what should be said while immortalizing this special celebration that left me in tears throughout their entire ceremony. So here is my best go at it!
First let me just say that this wedding was spectacular. It had a little bit of old New York charm and other bits of quirky elements that fully embodied everything about Ashley & Brian so beautifully. It could not have been "more them" than what you see here. I don't necessarily want to call them Foodies because it goes so much farther than that. Ashley & Brian are the faces and brains behind Queens Eats, an IG page and blog focused on all of the amazing food the borough of Queens (where I live!) has to offer. Beyond the sweet and mouth watering images, they push for minority owned businesses, mom and pop shops that work hard to keep their businesses alive and focus on real authentic food from different parts of the world. I don't consider myself a foodie but their passion and dedication to shedding a light on people and businesses really opened my eyes to why and how food can change the way people view the world. That is who they are. Influencers would be the buzz word!
Some of my favorite images are the ones where perfection is hidden in the unplanned. We weren't intending to take this bridal shot in this particular corner of the space, but unforeseen circumstances (EVERY wedding has them!) forced us to move to this location. Happen accidents are real and wonderful!
Life question. Can everyone please do a first look?I love it so so much. It really is so special and intimate and leaves so much time for the bride and groom to marvel at each other and the anticipation of the day. Also the photos last forever and who wouldn't want to see these reactions over and over again?!
Uff this ceremony. I cried the entire time they shared their vows. Truly, it was everything you think of when you think of weddings. Each in their indivudal ways, expressed how much they've grown and experienced together and it was stunning. Not a dry eye in the room!
